Kom-0.3.51 20 Apr 1998

This is a 2nd intermediate release of Kom, a serial terminal program
for KDE.

Again, this is only an adjustment to the current KDE release (Beta4).

Since i've received a lot of mail asking for a newer version, i can
imagine you being disappointed that this is not the release that adds
all the kinky features you've expected.

This comes mainly from the fact, that i'm completely rewriting Kom's
emulation, which came out to be a process requiering much more efford
than i first expected. The reason for this is the "terminal emulation
babylon", which makes it very hard to say precisely what has to be
interpreted how. Also, there are very documents are published in the
internet, that can be used to clearify this, so i had often to fall
back to reverse engeneering.

Anyway, i'm pretty through with this and currently work on a document,
that not only explains the emulation(s), that Kom is going to use, but
is although precise about the relation to other emulations like VT100,
VT102, Linux console, xterm, kvt and ansi.sys.

I've included the source of this new emulation within this release,
to give those, who might need it, hand on it. (It is in the other/kterm
subdirectory).

Please consult the README within there and the accompanying documents
in it's doc directory to learn more about it.

Again, note that you must do some of the installation steps manually.

Enjoy, Lars
