Use the @option command to indicate a command-line option; for
example, `-l' or `--version' or
`--output=filename'.

@option is equivalent to @samp in its effects.
For example:

The option @option{-l} produces a long listing.
produces
The option `-l' produces a long listing.

In tables, putting options inside @code produces a
more pleasing effect.
