                                  wmacpiload

                                 version 0.2.0

Introduction
------------

Wmacpiload is an ACPI monitoring dockapp for GNU/Linux. Support for other OSes than
GNU/Linux would be accidental. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License
(see COPYING). As usual, all this stuff comes with absolutely no warranty, the
risks are all yours.

For installing instructions, see INSTALL. For complete documentation about
wmacpiload, see the man page. To know what has changed since last time you checked,
see NEWS. To know how the source was altered (for developpers only), see Changelog.

The original maintainer (until 0.1.2) was Anthony Peacock <bratag44@hotmail.com>,
and is now, as from 0.2.0, me, that is Alan Carriou <carriou_alan@yahoo.fr>.

Requirements
------------
The obvious ones:
 * an ACPI-enabled hardware
 * an ACPI-enabled Linux kernel (since somewhere around 2.4.20, I guess)
 * an X server

The not-so obvious ones:
 * libXpm
 * libXext (should be part of X11libs)

And, to compile, you will need the corresponding header files and a C compiler
(gcc is just fine).

Homepage
--------

See http://wmacpiload.tuxfamily.org for updates.

The old webpage http://perso.wanadoo.fr/acarriou/wmacpiload/ is no longer relevant,
and will hopefully be removed, as soon as the company that hosts it (my former ISP)
decides to delete it. I have asked them to, but they do not seem to be responsive.
